Co-founder of Brandplay, Stacey Kramer also founded Word for Word, a naming and branding consulting firm in 1994, and has traveled the country and the world helping to create strategic, impactful names for national and global companies. Word for Word’s clients have included Nike, Levi-Strauss, Nestlé Beverage Company, Hewlett-Packard, Vivendi Universal, Chase Manhattan Bank, Price Waterhouse Coopers, AT&T, UPS, Symantec, TCI, and many others, including a multitude of start-up companies.  With over 15 years of experience in advertising, branding, and name development in a hundred different industries, Stacey brings an experienced perspective to any brand.

Prior to Word for Word, Stacey was at Lexicon Branding in California as part of a team producing powerful names for clients including Pentium®, Zima®, and PowerBook®. She also worked in advertising in Chicago and at Chiat/Day in San Francisco, where she was an account manager for clients including G. Heileman Breweries (Rainier Beer), Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Montgomery Ward and Atari. She graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Communications
